General Pattern opens new Canadian Office

Agile manufacturing service provider General Pattern Company, a vertically integrated rapid prototyping, rapid tooling and rapid manufacturing company with offices in Minneapolis, MN, Detroit, MI, and Basildon, UK, has announced the opening of a new Canadian sales office. Richard Smeenk, with over six years of prototype industry experience with DTM Corp. and 3D Systems, and two years in CAD/CAM, will promote General Pattern's services from its new GTA (Greater Toronto Area) office.

"Whether providing rapid prototyping alone or providing high quality duplications or using SLA/SLS parts in concert with CNC machining we have a variety of methods to move product to market faster than ever before," according to Smeenk. "Rapid tooling provides the necessary link between prototype and production requirements, producing production quality parts in prototype lead times; our patented Fusion tooling provides molded parts in 12 days."

General Pattern's rapid manufacturing capability extends from 1 to 100,000 parts. "We are capable of producing rapid parts to support prototype and production requirements. We can also provide total project management, assembly, painting, plating, silk screening, pad-printing, packaging, testing and inspection support both our short run and high volume molding."
